Supporting Traffic Safety Education

Connecting drivers with approved traffic safety education. By promoting defensive driving, we reduce repeat violations to create safer roads for the community.

1

Citation Issued

When a driver receives a traffic citation in California, a moving violation point is potentially assigned to their driving record. This step marks the beginning of the resolution timeline.

2

Court Appearance

Drivers must review their courtesy notice sent by the court to check for Traffic Violator School (TVS) eligibility. To hide the point from public view, you must choose the traffic school option and pay the required court administrative fee.

3

Pay Fine

Pay the bail amount and the court's administrative traffic school fee to the designated Superior Court. Settling these fees secures your legal right to mask the conviction on your driving record.

4

Complete Traffic School

Enroll in and complete a DMV-licensed traffic violator school course. Per California Vehicle Code, you have the flexibility to take an approved online or in-person class to satisfy the requirement.

5

Certificate Submitted

Once you pass, the traffic school will automatically file your completion certificate electronically directly to the court via the DMV system. Keep your receipt for your personal records.

Case Complete

The court processes your certificate, resulting in a confidential conviction. The point is officially masked from public view and insurance companies, fully protecting your premium rates.
